Peter Traicheff established Elegance Hair Design in 1984 at its present location. In 1994 the business name changed to Elegance Salon Spa due to the growth of day spa services. The business then became the first accredited Aveda Concept Salon and Spa in Durham Region.
Peter's mission and business philosophy has always been dedicated to providing a team of technicians and support staff that offer genuine quality service in a down to earth personalized environment, motivated to keep up with the latest trends.
Over the years Elegance Salon Spa has been recognized for Durham Region's People's Choice for Favorite Day Spa and Esthetics, Reader's Choice Award to Peter for ' Hair Stylist of the Year', and 'Salon of the Year' just to name a few.
Elegance Salon Spa supports community public figures, charity groups, and clubs, along with partnering in fund raising events for Aveda's Breast Cancer Awareness, Earth Day campaigns and its own year end Holiday Event.
Peter remains actively cutting along with managing the daily business operations. Peter's two son's both became Hairstylists and presently Jason heads the salon floor as the Creative Director.
Since 1984 Durham Region has grown and Peter's business has continued to grow right along with the
forever changing times.
